Lois Kathleen Hutchinson

"I believe that regaining back things we have lost as Native Americans is very important. We have been pushed onto the back burner for far to long. In the future I would love to see this country learn to treat Natives with respect and benevolence."

Lois Kathleen Hutchinson is a card-carrying Bay Mills Indian Community member. She is first generation removed from the Detroit suburban area, currently residing in Petoskey. Her father, grandmother, and great grandmother were raised in the Royal Oak Birmingham area. In the 1970s, her grandmother and father moved north to the Petoskey area and they have been residing there as a family ever since.
