Aurora & Justin Mandosking
Aurora Waasinodekwezance (girl of the northern lights) is Beaver clan and descends from the Zhim Minisheing Anishinaabeg or Jim Island Indians. She is the 8th generation descendant of Ma-ne-do-scung, who signed the ratified treaty in 1856. When asked why she wanted to be involved with this project she said "I'm excited about the future."
Justin Waabanokiizhick (Sky of morning) is Ayaakwe Anishinaabe and 7th generation succesor of Ma-ne-do-scung, who signed the ratified treaty in 1856 on behalf of the Jim Island Indians. Waabanokiizhick wanted to work in this project to represent the link between past generations who were denied the right to vote and the fate generations who can. Justin said "I'm voting for the future generations because my ancestors couldn't."
